Short Attention Span

Those that are closest to me know that I have the attention span the size of a parasite… Yeh its pretty short. I get bored with things super fast: hobbies, books, fitness, food, you name it. I have a crap ton of hobbies because I can switch back and forth when I get bored with one. I read 3-4 books at a time because I flip flop between all of them. Fitness is just one of those thing where sometimes I am all caught up in it, working out everyday 2 hours a day and then I go through spurts when Im like “The gym is the devil”. This is why I like OCR because it changes often throughout the course which keeps me from going brain dead after mile 4. Sometimes I wonder if my attention span is something I need to get a grip on. When it comes to people my attention span isn’t really short… Wait… I take that back. If I am around someone  ALL the time then I do tend to get sick of them rather quickly  (why I try not to latch to people) If I feel like I am getting too clingy then I take about 1,000 steps back.  I also do not like when people cling to me. CRAP… Is this why I am single??  The two boyfriends that I have had I didn’t get tired of them. They got on my nerves a lot after a while but I didn’t distance myself from them. I didn’t jump from one guy to the next. (Thats not how I roll). Once I am committed to a romantic relationship I am all in. I do NOT play that cheating bull crap.  Will I meet someone that can keep up with me… attention span wise. Will they know how to keep me engaged?? Will  I be able to keep from being annoyed after a long period of time?? Hmmmmm **scrunches forehead in deep thought**

I am a 30 something year old woman living in Brooklyn NY. I am originally from Dallas TX but do not see myself moving back any time in the near future. I have a love for all food especially when it can be delivered to my apartment. I love running OCR even though I am the slowest person out there. I have a short attention span (why NY is the ideal place for me). I am silly, sarcastic, optimistic, easy going and fun. I am also very single and I must say that I am enjoying my Single In Brooklyn life.

  1. I don’t think you have a short attention span. I just think you haven’t found your purpose, to keep you focused and engaged. Once you know your purpose, you will find that you won’t have a choice but to be focused and engaged!
